It's always been a habit of mine to reset the game (after actually using the save and continue feature of my gyroid), because Resetti is pretty funny IMO. Then as I was looking at stuff online, I found a bunch of stuff about what happens if you reset too much, and I'm wondering if anybody can tell me what really happens? Here's what I've heard: 1) One time he'll get a heart attack. Then you'll have to attend his funeral. After, if you reset either Don Resetti comes or Mr. Resetti's spirit comes to bug you. 2) He'll really restart your game. 3) After resetting 60-something times, he'll make all the villagers move away for a week. Then they'll be mad at that character for a month. 4) After a while he just says the basic four things over and over, it doesn't really change.

Nothing will happen. Don Rosetti, his brother, will come every now and then but he doesn't do anything to your game, don't worry.

Thanks! I'm glad. I actually believed the funeral thing for a while when I first read it, because one of the times he comes he says something about a "house rush" I think, and then nearly gets a heart attack.

Yeah, people make up some crazy things on the internet. xD
I heard one that if you hit every rock in town or something, the rock'll break, you go down the hole, and you're in Resetti's house, pth.
Fake. xD

Yep, but for people who don't know... there is a rock that you can knock bells out of if you find it, one every day.

Fake. xD Actually I think that's for the original N64 Animal Crossing game, Dobitsu no Mori (or something like that). Basically that's what the GC version was based on because they never translated the N64 game. Since I don't have that game, I can't say for sure whether or not it's true... but I'd guess it's not.

Also, I believe the original Japanese version of WILD WORLD allows this trick, as well as the tom nook's jammies trick.

ALmost none of that is true. He never dies, never resets your game data, he does, but its only a black screen for 5 seconds; you loose nothing. He never makes anyone move away. One time he make you write "Im sorry" or something, but I usually write "You suck" or something.

When I am playing and go to the phone, I usually just go back and turn off my gamecube. The most recent time he made me go to him, he was at the bulletin board when I started. If I hit Start, left the acre, or into my house or another house, he'd yell. IT was funny. But then I finally went over to him.
