Do you think that Animal Crossing for Wii should be a Massively Multiplayer Online Game (MMO for short)?
Me? No way! I do not want the AC series to become like Zwinky!

It could be cool if they keep everything basically the same, the towns would probably have to be bigger... But for the most part, AC is fine as it already is.

I think it'd be nice if we could have multiple players at the same time. Then my parents, my sister and I could all play together. =) It'd be a little like four swords in design if they could do 4-player. I want my gyroid back. xD I miss the little guy. He's pretty useful, really.
I'd like it a lot if the town were bigger with more villagers. (and more shops!) I can list a bunch of new features I'd really like, but this isn't the right thread for it. xD

In Wild World, up to 4 players can play with each other inside a town.

Yes, provided each of the four players has a DS, FC, AC:WW, etc. My family has none of these, and they all want to play together.

I don't really like the idea, ptthpth.
I mean, then people would be using language and such, and destroy the peaceful and kiddy mood of AC. =/

It is going to be online, but the system will be a lot more similar to AC:WW where 4 people from other parts of the world get together.
Improvements like all 4 people getting to be in one building at a time, and villagers now roaming around town instead of hiding in their houses are just some examples.

Thing is, you need WiFi in order to do any kind of online multiplayer. XD
Although, there could be a fan-based MMO that you could play on the computer, like other popular online computer games.

I'm really not a huge fan at all of the friend code system. I really hope they adjust how it works. I highly doubt that will happen though, as nothing has been said about a new friend system and the game is due soon.
I think an mmo is unrealistic in ways. It would be chaos having many people you don't know running around your town. I can already see "tree deathsquads" just going round mowing down your trees and then moving onto the next town.
The only practical application of an mmo I can see is maybe in the town area, where people could sell and trade items, but then town would be pretty much useless. Just a bunch of people spamming for free money and items and such.
To me, it's fine allowing 3 more people into your town. To me, this game is more about friends and less about random strangers.

You've got some good points there.
